She is Mary Poppins. She will entertain you like no other nanny can and will also tell you the secrets of modern life!

“Mary Poppins” is a combined production of Walt Disney and Cameron Mackintosh productions. Bob Crowley has designed the sets that complete the look of the show. Mathew Bourne has given a fine choreography, while George Stiles has composed splendid music for the show. Every detail on and off stage has been considered by the creative team. This can very well be seen in the fine performance as well as the impeccable designing of the stage.

It was P.L.Travers, who wrote the original Mary Poppins book. The was released in 1934. During this time, twins were born to the Banks couple. There are total eight books on Mary Poppins that portray the voyage of life of the twins, John and Barbara. The last was released in 1988.

In 1964, Walt Disney produced the movie version of “Mary Poppins.” This movie highlighted the theme of the story and launched it in the mainstream culture. There was a controversy with regards to certain scenes in the movie, as they differed from the original matter. However, it was sorted out soon.

The musical version of “Mary Poppins” opened on Broadway in December, 2004. This version had original lyrics. The music was given by Robert B. Sherman and Richard M. Sherman. The show impressed everyone and was nominated
